Day 9: The Part of the End

To the angel of the church in Sardis write: These are the words of Him who holds the seen spirits of God and the seven stars…
Revelation 3:1

Billy Graham will once pen: ‘The Holy Spirit illuminates the meds of people, makes us yearn for God, and takes spiritual truth and makes it understandable to us.’

A series of this nature forces me to think harder than I want…to understand the differences between words that just seem to be the same thing and yet are different, similar ideas and simplistic thoughts that actually cover much deeper ideals. I suppose that in itself is what trying to know God better is all about-to see, learn and think of things we never would have otherwise.

But that is the nature when we seek God. He opens Himself up and the Spirit invites us to come in-not just to look around for a bit and sit, have a cup of tea and a chat but to come and live. To eat the fruit of life, to sit at the Masters feet and live-really, truly live. It is the Holy Spirit and these 7 attributes that help guide us on our journey. Jesus is recorded in John 14 that ‘The Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.”

Paul points out to the Corinthians that “These are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep thing of God. For who knows a persons thoughts except for their own spirit within them? In the same way, no one knows the thought of God except the Spirit of God. (I Corinthians 2:10-11)

7 Spirits of the Lord. Each one just begs us to look closer.

Revelation 5:6
Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it has been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He has seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.
