Peacemakers
Matthew 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the Children of God.
God created us to have a relationship with Him. But sin entered, and we were separated. It was through the reconciliation of Christ that we can once again have that relationship with the Father, to once again live in peace with our Creator. But now we, too are called to bring that reconciliation to others-to share with them the ‘hope that lies within us.’ The salvation through Jesus Christ, the One who can offer peace.
Our job is to spread the kingdom-to be ambassadors, as it were. And we can only do that by showing and helping others gain the peace of salvation. Sure, not everyone will be responsive, and some people are just darn hard to like, let alone love. Maybe that’s why Paul said ‘as much as you can, be at peace with all men.’ Our job though is not to be perfect, but to point others to Him who IS perfect. And we can’t do that stirring up strife and discord at every turn!
Scripture:

1 Peter 3:15
Romans 12:18
Ephesians 4:26
Prayer: I ask that you enter my heart completely, Lord. That the peace that You have granted me I can share with others, that they too can know it. There are times that I really don’t want to be kind or nice because others aren’t responding in kind. And then I really need You to step in, to remind me that You gave me peace and reconciliation when I was against You. So that I can show them love, kindness, and peace. Even when what I really want to do is punch them.
